“Whenever I try to hide my face I break out through this white distortion.
The mirror knows.
The blank wall knows.
Every surface holds the outline of what I tried to bury clean.
I press my palms against the plaster.
Still I bleed through.
Still I bloom through.
The scars are the only honest things remained.
They show the way back to mine.”
